New Website

Welcome to, the new home for my blog about maintaining, researching and restoring an old house.

All the content from my old site is here (including your comments, Dear Reader), but there are some new features and a nifty new design as well. I hope you like the new site as much as I do– and remember to update your links and bookmarks, please.

Everything on the site works fine, but I am gradually going back through the archive to remove an extra blank line at the beginning of each post that was a side-effect of the conversion process. If you spot any other bugs, please let me know, or just leave a comment to tell me what you think of the new site.

Oh! I’m jealous. Your design is wonderful!

Thanks, Laurie. Your move from Blogsome was a big inspiration for me and I was lucky to benefit from your research and experience.

Looks great Josh,

I wish I had some time to work on my own…I’ve had to take an additional job to pay for all the destruction that’s been happening in my own house and must be addressed (immediately). Hence, the lack of posts on my blog.

Hang in there, Shauna. Obviously financing and doing the project is more important than blogging about it. I admire your resolve to do what is necessary to finish your project– and I look forward to reading about it when your schedule eases.
