Apparently the delivery of the drywall for my bedroom project was a big enough spectacle to draw my neighbor to her front yard with camera in hand. Here’s the view she saw:
The boom truck lifted 24 sheets of 4′ x 12′ sheetrock up to the bedroom window opening on the second floor where workers pulled them into the room to be ready for the install crew next week. There will be some exciting progress here in the coming days– stay tuned!

I'm Josh and since 2005 I have shared home improvement stories and ideas from my family's Arts & Crafts bungalow in Minneapolis, MN. I'm trying to combine the best of 1923 with the best of the 21st century-- and I hope it won't take another 88 years to do it.

Got to love the boom trucks. We had the lumber dropped for our deck at the bottom of the driveway. I always seem to end up carrying all the drywall though, 5/8″ sheets are super heavy to carry alone, 12′ sheets would be really difficult…
AWESOME! We’re hoping to ramp up some improvements later this summer… Maybe it’ll inspire me to actually blog again!!
Good luck with it all! Hope it goes without a hitch!
A renovation isn’t complete without a boomtruck! I don’t blame your neighbor either; I would’ve whipped out my BlackBerry had I seen the same thing!
I like the elevation of your Bungalow – very nice!
