I’m having an awesome time on the 2010 DIY Blog Squad for True Value Hardware. With True Value’s help, I’ve fixed up a couple furniture pieces here at the bungalow, and soon I’ll share my first attempt making at an Arts and Crafts-style tile frame, with more projects on the way.
Meanwhile, all this week I am the blogger-in-residence at True Value’s Facebook page, where I am answering questions and connecting with other DIYers. Come check it out and drop me a line while you’re there.
As a follow-up to my earlier announcement of True Value’s Design SOS Contest, the finalists have been selected and they all look like winners to me. There are remodels gone wrong, kitchen nightmares, and bathrooms that time forgot. I guarantee you won’t see anything scarier this Halloween! Vote for your favorite by November 5, 2010, at StartRightStartHere.com and help them win $2,500 in supplies for their project and the assistance of a Master of All Things Hardwarian from True Value.
Finally, some members of the DIY Blog Squad, including yours truly, have written a series of DIY tutorials on topics like tools, paint and more exclusively for True Value. You’ll find two sets of articles already posted to StartRightStartHere.com with two more practical and instructive tutorial collections yet to come this year.
Disclosure: I was one of the bloggers selected by True Value to work on the DIY Squad. I have been compensated for my time commitment to the program and my DIY project as well as my posts about my experience. I have also been compensated for the materials needed for my DIY project. However, my opinions are entirely my own and I have not been paid to publish positive comments.
