They like me!

That must be why True Value Hardware has included me in their DIY Blog Squad for a third straight year.  As before, True Value is providing me with $1,000 to spend on the materials and tools I need to take on projects here at Bungalow ’23.  Then I’ll share my progress in posts on my blog and in some content exclusive to True Value’s website and Facebook page.

So what projects do I have in mind?  Below is my brainstorm of ideas for this year’s True Value projects.  I’m sure I won’t get to everything there– and I’ll probably come up with some more ideas along the way– but if you see something that sounds particularly interesting, be sure to tell me in the comments.

True Value Blog Squad Brainstorm

Joining me on the DIY Blog Squad are a collection of excellent home improvement blogs.  It’s a wonderful compliment just to be part of any group that includes:

Seriously, these are some amazing blogs.  Do yourself a favor and check them out– just pace yourself, because taken together you will far exceed your recommended daily allowance of awesome.  (You’ve been warned!)

All my True Value posts will include the tag “true value” and conclude with a disclosure note.  Although I receive a stipend for my time spent on DIY Blog Squad projects, this sponsorship doesn’t require me to endorse any specific products or share anything less than my honest experiences and conclusions.

I can’t wait to get going on these projects and I’m grateful to True Value for their partnership. It’s going to be a great year!

Disclosure: I was one of the bloggers selected by True Value to work on the DIY Squad. I have been compensated for my time commitment to the program and my DIY project as well as my posts about my experience. I have also been compensated for the materials needed for my DIY project. However, my opinions are entirely my own and I have not been paid to publish positive comments.

Just stumbled on your blog from another home improvement site. I had to laugh at the True Value drawing with project suggestions…..looks like my ever changing “to do” list around our house. We’re four years into a converted 2-flat from 1888 and are seeing some positive results, but there’s a long way to go. We’re currently finishing the “yearly” lawn redo….a nice lawn really takes forever!

Welcome, Allison! Your 1888 2-flat makes me think of tall windows, high ceilings, and parquet floors, so whatever the status of your to-do list, in my mind it’s lovely. Good luck with your lawn!

Your list for the exterior looks depressingly like mine. I vote for lawn or veggie garden and french drains.

I vote for improving the deck. Ours needs to be torn out and re-done. . .would love to see someone do it in “real” time and so I can gauge whether I have the time/energy/money to put into it!!! Just found your blog from other True Value bloggers. . .can’t wait to see some of your transformations. . .
